One firefighter suffers heat exhaustion
BRANSON WEST, Mo.-- A firefighter with Southern Stone County Fire Protection District suffered heat exhaustion Sunday while fighting a fire in Branson West. Department spokesperson Eric Nielsen said crews from nearly half of the district were called to the blaze on Armadillo Lane after a mobile home caught fire. Nielsen says the double wide was a total loss. Neighbors told the fire department the occupant had moved out more than a week ago. The fire department says the landowner was cleaning up the property and possible left a burn pile unattended.
